Back in October 2024, I started my career at Axl & Trax as an SAP Security Consultant. I was excited but also a bit nervous.

The excitement was mainly because I was ready to start a new chapter in my life and expand my knowledge, but the truth is that I had no experience with SAP or cybersecurity, and this is my very first job.

My journey began with a three-week training course focused on security and authorizations (S&A).

The sessions were given by experienced colleagues at Axl & Trax who made the material easy to understand and ensured we had plenty of hands-on practice with the system.

This practical approach, learning about ‘the Axl & Trax methodologies’, really helped me get comfortable with all the security aspects of an SAP landscape (S&A, Fiori, security parameters, etc.).

I quickly became interested in the security and authorization side of SAP (and even in cybersecurity in general). On top of that, the welcoming and supportive atmosphere in the company made a huge difference.

Everyone was approachable and always willing to help. After the training, I joined a project supporting an inspiring high-tech client, where I gained more technical knowledge in SAP and grew in soft skills—something that’s just as important in a consultancy job.

Axl & Trax also allowed me to explore another area of SAP cybersecurity: SAP penetration testing and the practical use of sophisticated SAP Cyber Solutions.

That was an enriching experience, and I am looking to apply this in a real-world project.

For now, I’m focused on learning something new every day in SAP Security, having a strong foundation for new projects, and enjoying some time with my colleagues.
